Haywood (pictured), 29, joins after a brief return to NPL Premier Division side Radcliffe.

Ghana-born, the midfielder played in Italy prior to joining Hindsford and then Stalybridge Celtic in 2012.

He proved his worth during his first season as a no-nonsense defensive. He has since had spells with Colwyn Bay, Ramsbottom United and Witton Albion before originally signing for Radcliffe in 2018.

He switched to league rivals Nantwich Town in January 2020 and then re-joined Radcliffe in December 2021.

Shepherd is a 20-year-old clever midfielder who joins from league rivals Mossley AFC.

He had joined the Lilywhites in September 2021 from NPL Premier side Warrington Town for whom he had made several appearances from the bench.

He had joined Warrington in the close season of 2021 after graduating from SkyBet League Two side Salford City's academy and under-23s, making his first team debut in the EFL Trophy against Manchester United under-21s in 2020/21.
