The 23-year-old from Wigan played a handful of games for Colls as a teenager in the pre-season of 2013 before heading to the United States.

In the States, Conway represented the University of the Incarnate Word in Texas, alongside current Colls` vice-captain Vinny Bailey.

He then progressed on to Oklahoma City Energy`s under-23s, adding to the exotic list of Colls players’ former teams.

He has now returned to link back up with Bailey and the Colls.

Manager Michael Clegg told http://athertoncollieries.co.uk: “We were made aware Ben was coming back from America by Vinny Bailey, as they played together out there. He actually played for Colls a few years back. He has come in and done so well… We are delighted to get him signed up, he has fitted in straight away and just excites everyone everytime he gets on the ball.

“No-one really knows much about Ben as he has been in the States for so long. But come next May, I’m sure everyone will know who he is”.
