Experienced Fernandes Becomes a Duck
Pitching In Southern League Division One Central club Aylesbury United have signed vastly experienced defender Luis Fernandes from Isthmian League South Central Division side Staines Town.

The 34-year-old has made 23 appearances for the Swans this season after joining in July 2021 from Spartan South Midlands League Premier Division side Arlesey Town.

 

Fernandes played in his native Portugal with GS Loures - a Sporting Lisbon nursery - and UD Vilafranquense, where he amassed 162 appearances, scoring 15 goals, in the Portuguese 2nd and 3rd divisions.

 

He joined Marlow in 2018/19 from Waltham Abbey, and his other former clubs include London Colney, Hayes & Yeading United, Royston Town, Ware, Dunstable Town, Chesham United, North Greenford United, Southall and Barton Rovers.
