New Keeper for Buxton

Pitching In Northern Premier League Premier Division title chasers Buxton have added goalkeeper Johnny Saltmer to their squad.

The 23-year-old was released by SkyBet Championship side Hull City at the end of the 2017/18 season and after training with a number of League clubs, joined then-Vanarama National League outfit Barrow AFC in February 2019.

He helped the Tigers academy side reach their first ever Under-21 Premier League final in 2015/16 and gained first-team experience during loan spells at North Ferriby United and Cleethorpes Town.

He played a part in Barrow winning the National League title and then moved to National League North side Darlington in September 2020.

In August 2021 he switched to league rivals Bradford Park Avenue.
