The club have placed on record its thanks and appreciation for Smith`s remarkable efforts in taking the team on the journey from the Suffolk & Ipswich League to the Thurlow Nunn Premier Division, a Suffolk Senior Cup triumph, league titles and marvellous times along the way.

His contribution has been immense, and he will always be welcome at Walsham Sports Club.

A true football man, an outstanding individual and someone who had an excellent career as a player with Woodbridge Town, Harwich & Parkeston, Diss Town and Sudbury Town.

Trevor Newman has been appointed as the new man in charge after being Smith`s assistant last season.
