Pitching In Southern League Division One South club Winchester City have snapped up defender Callum Chugg from Southern Premier Division South side Wimborne Town.

The 24-year-old swaps a relegation scrap for a play-off challenge with the Citizens.

         

The central defender, who has made 25 appearances for the Magpies this season after joining in June 2020 from rivals Gosport Borough.

 

He had moved to Privett Park a year earlier from Winchester`s league rivals AFC Totton where he was a firm fans favourite, having been at the Snows Stadium since mid-2017, joining from Sydenhams Football League Wessex Leaguers AFC Fawley.

 

He was a regular in the Stags' first team, chipping in with some spectacular goals.
