The
33-year-old central defender began his career at Dagenham as a youth team
player and following his release in 2006 he joined local side Thurrock, going
on to become the captain in a four-year spell at Ship Lane.
After
fighting off other clubs for his signature, Chelmsford snapped up the then
23-year-old in the summer of 2011
Just
like his time at Thurrock, Clark went on to captain the Clarets in a side that
reached the play-offs.
After
two seasons with Chelmsford, where he featured in more than 80 games, he signed
for Dartford before making the switch to join Ebbsfleet United in July 2014. He
went on to make over 200 appearances for the Fleet.
Clark
re-signed for the Daggers in 2018 and since then has made 100 appearances at
the Chigwell Construction Stadium as a reliable and dependable figure in the
defence.
Gubbins (pictured) is a 20-year-old defender who began his career at Southampton before moving to
west London in 2017.
He
made his professional debut for the R’s as a late substitute in a 5-1 Emirates
FA Cup win over Swansea City in January 2020. His League debut came on the
final day of the 2019/20 season away to West Bromwich Albion, again making a
late appearance from the bench.
A
6`3” left-footed centre-back, he previously had spells on loan in the National
League system with Oxford City in October 2020 and then earlier in the 21/22
campaign at Aldershot Town, where he made 3 appearances in a month-long spell. |
