An England under-17 international, Regis, now 21, spent his youth career with Arsenal, Southampton and Colchester United.

After spells with Sittingbourne and Farnborough, he joined Port Vale in 2017.

Regis told https://www.torquayunited.com: “I was at Port Vale before the season started and it was good there, but I wasn’t getting enough games.

“I needed to go somewhere I would play and to get more games under my belt.

“I got called by the manager and he has big plans for this club and I really wanted to get involved in them. I’m here for promotion, and because they play good football here. Two reasons why I thought I would come down.

“I need to get myself out there and show people what I can do”.
