Rooney will be joined at Foxbury by Joe Minter, who will take up the role of assistant manager.

The two know the club and ground well as they have long links with tenants Stansfeld, a side they will be coming up against in the 2022/23 season.

Rooney finished the 2021/22 season as a player/caretaker manager at Erith & Belvedere while Joe Minter was player-coach at the First Division champions.

Glebe finished third this year, just outside the promotion places, and under their new management will now be planning to be among those competing for a place in Step 4 next term.
