The
26-year-old joins the Hawks from Isthmian Premier Division side Horsham.
Harris
spent three years with the Brighton & Hove Albion’s academy but moved on to
Barnsley after failing to break into the senior side, despite scoring once in 4
Vanarama National League appearances for Aldershot Town while on a loan spell
from the Seagulls.
He
was released by Barnsley and returned south, initially joining his hometown
club East Grinstead Town before securing a move to Eastbourne Borough at the
start of the 2017/18 season.
He
spent a month on loan with Horsham in December/January 2018 and then signed on
a permanent basis the following summer and helped them to promotion to the
Isthmian Premier in 2018/19.
Harris
follows Horsham team-mate Rob O’Toole along with Hayward Heath Town’s Hamish
Morrison and Eastbourne Borough’s Charlie Lambert in making the switch to
Whitehawk in recent days. |
