The
now 39-year-old moves to The Avenue Stadium from Vanarama National League South
side Hungerford Town.
He
had joined the Crusaders in July 2020 from Winchester City, who he had joined
from Taunton Town where he was part of their Southern Premier South
promotion-winning side of 2018/19.
He
is a no-nonsense defender who joined Taunton in January 2018 following his
departure from Farnborough.
Before
moving to Farnborough, Emmerson, who can operate in a variety of positions,
including centre-half and midfield, spent several seasons at Poole Town where
he helped them win promotion to the Southern Premier and has also played for
Camberley Town and Sherborne Town and represented the Army team.
Dorchester
boss Glenn Howes told his club’s website: “We’re delighted to capture the
signature of Emmo and feel he will be a perfect fit to embed his values on this
young side.
“We
know exactly what type of character and player we’re inheriting and there are
no signs of Emmo slowing down, being nominated for the Conference South team of
the year is no mean feat which is a testament to how Emmo looks after himself”. |
