The 27-year-old netted 25 goals in 29 appearances for the Met after joining in the summer of 2021.

Ferdinand originally made the step up to the National League South with Hungerford Town in July 2019 from then-Isthmian South Central side Bracknell Town before moving to Southern Premier Division South outfit Harrow Borough in the summer of 2020.

He ended the 2018/19 season as top scorer in the division with 32 goals having re-joined the Robins in the summer of 2018 from Thatcham Town.

He was previously with Marlow and Binfield and represented the FA in an ambassadorial visit to the Falkland Islands in November 2018.

He helped Binfield to reach the 2020/21 FA Vase Final on dual registration before moving to Metropolitan Police.

Farnborough’s CEO Rob Prince told the club’s website: "After last season's success we knew we'd need to strengthen in some areas of the squad if we wanted to be competitive at step two.

"Liam brings bags of experience and has actually already played with Mitch Parker for England C. So, what an exciting partnership that could be!

"I am delighted with all of Spencer's signings. They will compliment an already strong group of players. With such good team spirit and synergy, we felt it important we retained the core of the squad and hopefully with these new signings, momentum and a lot of hard work, we will have another successful season for the fans".
