Joining
from league rivals Marine AFC are forward Lewis Reilly (pictured) and wide midfielder Ben
Hughes.
Reilly,
22, had joined the Mariners in July 2021 from Vanarama National League North
outfit Chorley.
He
came through the ranks at Crewe Alexandra, making 8 League appearances for the
Railwaymen.
He
also had loan spells with Halesowen Town, AFC Telford United and two stints at
Curzon Ashton whilst at Gresty Road.
He
was released by Crewe in the summer of 2020 and joined Chorley.
Hughes,
22, had been with Marine since August 2021.
He
came through the ranks at Sheffield Wednesday, turning professional before
being released in May 2021.
He
had a loan spell in the NPL Premier with Gainsborough Trinity in 2020/21.
Also
joining the Reds is midfielder Greg McCaragher.
The
19-year-old spent his youth in Burnley's academy before being offered a
two-year scholarship with Fleetwood Town.
At
the end of his scholarship, he was given the opportunity via the LFEs Player
Placement programme to play in Sweden with Ytterhogdals IK.
The
team went on to finish second in the fourth tier of Swedish football, qualifying
for the end of season play-offs to Division One which they narrowly missed out
on. They also won the 2019 DM Cup.
In
December 2020 he signed for North West Counties League side AFC Blackpool
before he had spells with Kendal Town, Widnes and Penrith. |
