The 24-year-old moved to the Lions in June 2019 from the Horsfall Stadium before switching to National League North rivals Spennymoor Town in June 2020.

He initially joined Avenue on loan from Huddersfield Town in March 2017, before making the switch permanent the following summer.

Prior to joining Avenue, he had been a regular for Huddersfield’s under-23 set up, and previously captained the under-18s.

A combative central midfielder, he is equally comfortable anywhere across the defensive line.

Avenue boss Mark Bower told https://bpafc.com: “I’m really pleased to have secured the signing of Jamie.

“We know he’s a talented player from his first spell with us, but he’s now become more mature and experienced and I expect him to be one of our leaders both on the pitch and in our dressing room.

“He is a player with the ability to play in a higher league and we have challenged him to realise that potential by doing consistently well for us”.
