Midfielder Dan Rooney has joined following his departure from new league rivals Truro City.

The 23-year-old younger brother of White Tigers` striker Louis Rooney, played for Truro before on loan from League One side Plymouth Argyle.

He had joined Vanarama National League South outfit Bath City on a short-term deal in August 2019 after spending pre-season with beleaguered Bury.

When the Shakers failed to start the season, eventually being expelled from the Football League, he headed back south to Twerton Park.

He moved to Truro in October 2019.

Parkway boss Lee Hobbs told his club’s website: “Dan Rooney is a terrific footballer and is someone who I’m very excited to work with next season.

“He’s another Plymouth boy and when it was made known to me that he was available it was a deal that we got done quickly as we knew there would have been other clubs interested in him. This new challenge and different environment, I believe will get the best out of Roons”.
