Central defender Azeez Alabi (pictured) moves across from last season’s play-off semi-finalists, who he joined in December 2021 from league rivals Westfield.

The 24-year-old had been with Westfield, initially on dual registration, since August 2021 following a short spell with Hendon’s league rivals Hayes & Yeading United.

A powerfully built central defender, he Hayes & Yeading joined from Combined Counties League Premier Division side Knaphill.

Prior to joining Knaphill, he had spells with Thamesmead Town, Aylesbury FC, Benfleet, Canvey Island and Northwood.

Hendon boss Lee Allinson said: “I’m delighted to welcome Azeez to the club. He fits what we are looking for, a ball winning defender who is aggressive in his play strong and powerful and like our other signings so far wants to succeed in the game.”

Also joining the Greens is goalkeeper Marcin Brzozowksi.

The 23-year-old moves to Silver Jubilee Park from Vanarama National League side Torquay United.

He originally made his debut for Torquay during a month` loan from parent club, Queens Park Rangers.

Having impressed many with his performance, the club wasted no time in securing his signature on a permanent basis in the summer of 2021 following his release at Loftus Road.

A former Poland under-19 international, he also enjoyed a similar spell in the West Country with Yeovil Town in 2019/20 and gained further experience during other temporary stints at Ashford Town (Middx), Braintree Town, Billericay Town and Gloucester City.

Allinson added: "After Ethan Wady returned to Chelsea, a goalkeeper was a massive priority and I'm delighted to get Marcin. He's a highly rated goalkeeper who's been playing in the National League”.
