Moving
to Badgers Hill is experienced striker Luke Hopper (pictured), who joins from Southern
Premier Division South side Yate Town.
The
33-year-old signed for the Bluebells in the summer of 2021 from Vanarama
National League South outfit Hungerford Town, who he had re-joined in August
2020.
He
had signed for Chippenham Town in June 2019 from Southern Premier South side
Salisbury.
Devizes-born,
he began his career at Swindon Town before spells with Chippenham, Hungerford,
Swindon Supermarine and Gloucester City before re-joining Hungerford in the
summer of 2017. He also had a spell in Australia playing for South Melbourne.
He
has made more than 250 senior appearances, scoring over 130 goals, including 20
in National League North with Gloucester from 33 starts and 8 substitute
appearances.
He
continued scoring goals for Hungerford before signing for the Whites in June
2018.
Greaves
told his club’s website: "I am delighted to have signed Luke. He has been
on our radar for the past 18 months, so to finally get this deal over the line
is pleasing.
“He
will bring additional attributes to the team which we lacked at times in key
periods last season through his physicality and ability to hold the ball up and
link up play. Another key element is his experience which will be key to us for
another promotion push, not to mention his excellent goal scoring record which
has mainly been achieved in the leagues above at Step 2 and 3."
Returning
to Frome for a second spell is midfielder Ben Withey.
The
25-year-old re-joins the Robins from league rivals Paulton Rovers.
He
had re-joined Rovers in August 2019 having only moved to Southern Premier Division
South side Swindon Supermarine two months earlier.
He
had originally signed for Paulton from Frome, where he played 47 times, a year
previously in the summer of 2018.
He
came through the ranks at Bristol City academy and has also previously played
at Mangotsfield United and Weston-super-Mare.
He
joined Mangotsfield permanently in 2016 following an earlier dual-registration
spell with Weston and made 36 appearances for the Mangos in the 2016/17 season.
