With
Charlie Wise already secured from Premier Division Central side Bromsgrove
Sporting, Ford has now added youngster Michael O’Regan and the more experienced
Ben Whitehead to his squad.
O’
Regan (pictured) is a defender, who made 8 appearances for Stratford Town in the Southern
Premier Division Central last season.
O’Regan,
who is a product of Stratford’s academy, has also appeared for FC Stratford and
Bishops Cleeve.
Ford
told his club’s website: “We need hungry footballers at the club, and he has
not played enough senior football. We are going to give him the opportunity. I
like him as an adult and as a football player.”
Whitehead,
28, is a striker who signed for Cirencester Town in January 2022 from Southern
Premier Division South outfit Weston-super-Mare.
He
had made the opposite journey in June 2019 after he won the `golden boot`
scoring 39 goals in 38 games.
He
originally joined Cirencester in the summer of 2017 from Didcot Town having
previously been with Swindon Supermarine, Swindon Town and Chippenham Town.
He
ended his first season as the joint winner of the `golden boot` and swept the
board at the club`s end of season awards, and despite his second season being
brought to a halt after he sustained a serious injury, he still managed to take
his Ciren tally to an incredible 86 goals in 87 games!
Ford
added: “I know Ben very well locally and guaranteed goals. He is a good lad and
honest, a good signing to get across the line. It is great to have him at
Evesham”. |
