Cooper was loaned out to Altrincham from Rotherham United to get some more experience under his belt in February and ended up spending the rest of the last campaign with the Robins, playing 12 times.

He moved to the AESSEAL New York Stadium back in 2015 having previously played for Sheffield United and he went on to play 3 first-team games for Paul Warne’s side.

The Burnley-born man also had loan spells away from the South Yorkshire outfit at Gateshead, Hartlepool United and Darlington to get some game time.
