It will be Wright’s second spell at Plainmoor after a successful loan move from West Bromwich Albion during our 2015/16 season when he was just 18.
He made 22 appearances whilst with the club and scored 3 goals. He also joined Kidderminster Harriers and Coventry City on loan while with the Baggies.
Permanent moves to Kiddy and Nuneaton Borough followed.
“I’ve brought Andre because I think he has an enormous amount of potential, but has to show us that quickly,” head coach Gary Owers told https://www.torquayunited.com. “I think he’s another strong and physical player to play up top.
“He’ll add a bit of everything and he’s another one of those players that needs to find a home. I’ve taken a few young players that I think I can work with and make better and he’s one of them.”
Wright may not feature straightaway according to Owers: “In fairness to him he’s a little behind the rest of the lads in terms of his fitness, so we will have to tread carefully for a couple of weeks whilst we get him up to speed”.
