Experienced
goalkeeper Michael Emery, defender Dean Freeman, versatile youngster Kyle Tomlin
and the promising Josh Burkitt have all arrived at the Bill Stokeld Stadium.
The
31-year-old Emery (pictured) finished last season with Toolstation Northern Counties East
League side Barton Town.
He
had signed for Barton in 2021/22 from Pontefract Collieries, where he had been
since July 2020 after arriving from NPL Division One West side Runcorn Linnets
in November 2019 from North West Counties Premier Division side Rylands, having
started the season in the NPL Division One South East with Lincoln United,
where he had been since 2016/17.
Much
of his career has been spent in his native Lincolnshire with the likes of
Gainsborough Trinity and home-town Boston United.
He
has also served St Albans City, St Neots Town, Heanor Town and Skegness Town.
Freeman
joins from league rivals Loughborough Dynamo.
He
had joined Dynamo from Ilkeston Town, who he signed for in August 2019 for an
undisclosed fee.
A
tall imposing centre-half, he joined Southern Premier Central side Coalville
Town in the summer of 2015 before helping the team to play-off success and made
over 160 appearances for the Ravens.
Originally
with Barnsley, he has also been with Rainworth Miners Welfare.
Tomlin
moves from Coalville where he had been since this time last year.
The
20-year-old came through the ranks at SkyBet League Two Mansfield Town and
eventually captained them during their FA Youth Cup campaign where he scored a
stunning goal from the halfway line against QPR that went viral on social
media.
His
time at the Stags came to an end in the summer of 2021 and he joined the
Ravens, despite interest from several other non-League clubs.
He
can operate at centre-half, right back and is also deemed to be a potential
central midfielder in the future.
Left
back Burkitt joins the Millers from Grantham Town, who were relegated from the
NPL Premier Division at the end of last season.
Originally
with Chesterfield and Boston United’s academy and captain for the
Nottinghamshire County under-16 side, he had spells with Newark Town, Eastwood
Community, Wisbech Town and then Grantham. |
