Twenty-year-old Mantack scored 2 goals in 10 appearances for the Hatters last season after arriving on loan from SkyBet League One side Oldham Athletic.
Ironically, he scored on his County debut coming off the bench in a 4-1 home win over this weekend’s opponents, FC United of Manchester.
Unfortunately, the Wythenshawe lad saw his loan spell cut short after scoring the only goal in a 1-0 win against Alfreton Town, when a horrific tackle left him with a broken fibula and dislocated ankle last December.
Manager Jim Gannon told https://www.stockportcounty.com: “I asked the Board for additional resource to accommodate Kallum because I always felt it was a terrible way for his time with County to come to an end.
“He will give us options in both the wide areas and as an attacking full-back, so I’m glad to have him back with us. He’s worked really hard on his rehabilitation and looks strong as we start the new campaign.”
Mantack left Oldham in the summer after three first-team outings and having previously played for both Alfreton and FC United on loan. |
