Westfield Borrow Robins Keeper for the Season
Simon Lane, manager of Pitching In Isthmian League South Central Division club Westfield, has signed goalkeeper Sonny Wheeler on a season-long loan from Southern League Premier Division South newcomers Bracknell Town.

Wheeler made 7 appearances and featured 8 more times on the bench for Bracknell in 2021/22 as they won the Isthmian South Central title.

 

He started out at the John Madejski Academy in Reading and also impressed at Binfield with three first team appearances as well as 17 appearances for the Moles development team.

 

He was also part of the Berks & Bucks County FA under-18 side that lifted the South & West Counties Championship in 2018/19.

 

He was snapped up by Vanarama National League side Wealdstone, for whom he made a couple of first team appearances.

 

In December 2018, he was on trial with Premier League AFC Bournemouth and then signed for Bracknell Town in the summer of 2019

 

Since being with the Robins, he has had loan or dual registration spells with Basingstoke Town, Windsor and Flackwell Heath.
