Villa have snapped up experienced defender Luke Ruddick from Vanarama National League South neighbours Hampton & Richmond Borough.

The 32-year-old had been with the Beavers since November 2018 after his contract was cancelled at fellow National League South side Oxford City, allowing him to move closer to home.

The signing was something of a return to the Beveree for the defender, after a brief spell at the club in the 2008/09 season.

He spent the majority of his career with Salisbury before brief spells at clubs including Sutton United, Bath City and Dunstable Town.
