Twenty-seven-year-old
Richards (pictured) is a versatile performer who had been with the White Tigers since September
2015 following his release by Torquay United.
He
started his career at Southend United, where he emerged through the ranks
before going on to serve the likes of Plymouth Argyle, Weymouth and Northern
Irish outfit, Linfield.
He
made over 250 appearances for Truro, scoring 19 goals, and was named club
captain after the departure of Ben Gerring in the summer of 2018.
Thompson
was another long-serving White Tiger.
The
28-year-old versatile winger or striker was a popular figure at Truro, whose
former clubs include Hucknall Town, Sheffield FC, Mickleover Sports and Torquay
United, from where he was loaned to Truro in 2014/15.
He
was part of the White Tigers` record-breaking FA Cup First Round squad in 2017
and has played anywhere from striker to right back.
He
signed a permanent deal in the summer of 2016 and agreed a new deal in the
summer of 2019.
