The 34-year-old returns to Crabble after making 31 appearances for new league rivals Dulwich Hamlet last season, scoring twice.

Sterling joined Dulwich in the summer of 2021 from rivals Concord Rangers, where he had returned to in June 2020.

He can play as either a full-back or a centre-back and started his career with Cray Wanderers before making a move to Dartford.

After impressive displays with the Darts, it was a move down to Dover that was next up, his performances didn’t go unnoticed as he was highly praised by the fans.

At the start of the 2017/18 season, he made the move to Bromley where he made 43 appearances and played at Wembley in the FA Trophy Final.

He originally joined Concord in June 2018 before switching to another National League South outfit, Hemel Hempstead Town, in May 2019.
