Jimmy Dean has snapped up central defender Connor Johnson from new league
rivals Kettering Town.
The
24-year-old had been with his home-town club since December 2020.
He
started his career with Northampton Town as a youngster before being signed by
Wolverhampton Wanderers where he signed his first professional contract in the
summer of 2016 and skippered the under-23s.
Whilst
on Wolves` books he had loan spells in the National League with Boreham Wood
and National League North with AFC Telford United and then made his League
debut on loan with Walsall, for whom he made 7 appearances.
He
then spent the 2019/20 season on loan in the Scottish Premiership with
Kilmarnock before being released by Wolves at the end of the campaign.
He
had been turning out for Sunderland under-23s before joining the Poppies.
