Vastly
experienced striker Elliot Benyon (pictured) has arrived at Arbour Park from league rivals
Oxford City.
The
34-year-old had joined the Hoops in October 2019 having returned to Pitching In
Southern League Premier Division South side Hayes & Yeading United from
Leatherhead in December 2018 after first joining United in January 2015 on loan
from Torquay United, playing a large part in them avoiding relegation that
season.
In
August 2015, he re-signed for Hayes & Yeading on a more permanent basis
following his release by Torquay, top scoring with 18 goals at season end
before opting for a move to neighbours Wealdstone in the summer as United were
relegated.
He
came through the ranks at Bristol City without making an appearance, although
he did have loan spells with both St Albans City and Crawley Town while with
them prior to signing for Torquay in 2007, making a sub appearance at Wembley
in the 2008 FA Trophy Final.
Another
visit was made to Wembley the following season as the Gulls won promotion back
into the Football League from the Conference in a Promotion Final win over
Cambridge United.
After
first leaving Torquay, he played for Swindon Town, Southend United and Wycombe
Wanderers before returning to Torquay in July 2013.
Having
left Hayes & Yeading for Wealdstone in the summer of 2016, he then found
his way to Leatherhead via short stops at Enfield Town and Whitehawk.
Midfielder
John Goddard joins the Rebels from another league rival, St Albans City.
The
29-year-old had been with the Saints since August 2021.
He
had re-signed for National League Woking in August 2020.
He
joined Ebbsfleet United in July 2019 after his six-month deal with league
rivals Aldershot Town came to an end.
He
had joined the Shots in January 2019 from Stevenage following a loan spell at
the Shots’ National League rivals Bromley earlier in the season.
He
is best known for his three seasons at Woking where he won their 2015/16 player
of the season and scored 27 times in 128 appearances.
His
impressive string of performances at Woking earned him a move to then-League
One with Swindon Town before he joined Stevenage in January 2018.
He
was capped twice at England C level.
Returning
to the Rebels after a short spell away is defender Guy Hollis.
The
31-year-old left Slough at the end of January to join league rivals Havant
& Waterlooville due to his work circumstances.
But
they have changed, and he recently agreed to mutually terminate his contract with
the Hawks and expressed a desire to return to Arbour Park.
Hollis
had originally signed for Slough in June 2013 from Godalming Town and made 375
appearances.
He
is a quick, solid central defender who started his career for Ashford Town
(Middx.) at the age of 17.
He
had an exceptional year in the 2015/16 season, scooping all the player of the
year awards.
After
several seasons at Ashford, he then moved up to the Isthmian Premier with
Carshalton Athletic before moving to Godalming, where he was the 'G's player of
the season for 2011/12.
Also
making the short journey back to Arbour Park is left back George Wells.
The
26-year-old had left the Rebels in August 2020 to join National League
neighbours Maidenhead United, having originally joined from Kingstonian in the
summer of 2017.
Slough
had kept tabs on him since he made his debut for Hampton & Richmond Borough
at a young age, and he has since developed into an excellent defender.
