Cawley Swaps Stones

Maidstone United have signed defender Jack Cawley from Vanarama National League rivals Wealdstone.

The 29-year-old centre-back had signed for Wealdstone in the summer of 2020 from National League South side Concord Rangers.

He had been with the Beachboys since May 2019 after arriving from Pitching In Isthmian League North Division side Maldon & Tiptree and played in the delayed FA Trophy Final.

He joined the Jammers in the summer of 2018 from local rivals Heybridge Swifts, where he was an integral part of the most successful season for many years.

After spending much of previous season in the USA playing for Ann Arbor and narrowly missing out on the national finals.
