Craig
Carney joins from NPL Premier Division side Bamber Bridge as player-coach.
The
29-year-old, an experienced creative midfielder, signed for Brig in September
2021 from league rivals Matlock Town.
He
had joined the Gladiators in November 2020 after spending a couple of months
with another NPL Premier Division outfit, Warrington Town.
He
started out as a youngster at Southport and then played for Kendal Town, Bamber
Bridge, Northwich Victoria, Squires Gate, Lancaster City and Marine AFC.
He
joined Clitheroe in October 2019 from FC United of Manchester.
Joining
the club as player/assistant-manager is vastly experienced defender Glenn
Steel (pictured).
He
joined Lancaster City in January 2017 from Bamber Bridge and made over 200
appearances for the Dolly Blues.
He
had two spells with Brig, separated by a stint with AFC Fylde.

Ryan Haigh told https://www.colnefootballclub.com: “We are determined to give
manager Phil Brown and the staff the best possible squad for the coming season.
