Winger Switches to League Rivals

Hebburn Town have signed winger Will McCamley from Pitching In Northern Premier League Division One East rivals Shildon.

The 21-year-old follows manager Daniel Moore to The Green Energy Sports Ground and becomes Town’s sixth summer signing.

McCamley had moved to Shildon in August 2021 from SkyBet Championship side Huddersfield Town.

He joined Town’s academy from South Shields’ academy in March 2019 after a successful trial period.

He spent the 2019/20 campaign as part of Town’s under-19 squad and really came into form following the turn of the year.

He had loan spells in the NPL Premier Division with both Hyde United and former club South Shields during 2020/21.

He told his club’s website: “I’m buzzing to get it done. I had a few offers, but this club matches my ambitions”.
