The Lambs were promoted after being crowned champions of the Toolstation Western League Premier Division, pipping Exmouth Town to the title on the final day of the season with a 1-0 win over Ashton & Backwell, courtesy of Liam Prynn’s stoppage-time penalty.

However, Henderson has made one new addition to his squad to date after signing one of the “best midfielders in the area” after confirming the acquisition of Ed Harrison for the new campaign.

Harrison will not be a stranger to fans of the Lambs as he ended the 2021/22 season with the club.

He scored in the 9-0 hammering of Bridport at Langsford Park, but spent much of the season playing in the South West Peninsula League with Camelford.

Now, Harrison has agreed to become a permanent member of the squad.

A former Cornish under-18 and Cornwall FA representative, he also had a spell with Southern Premier Division South side Truro City earlier in his career.

Henderson told his club’s website: “Ed is someone I have been after for some time and in my eyes, he is one of the best central midfield players around.

“He is a tremendous athlete, he can get around the pitch and he scores goals, so he ticks the boxes for an attacking midfielder and I am really glad to get him over the line.

“To be fair, when we met him in the summer, all the conversations with him were about how much he wants to prove himself at this level, so it wasn’t like there were any difficult negotiations or anything like that.

“Again, he is exactly what we want and that is young boys that want to play at this level for the right reasons and are going to work hard. I look as much at their character as I do their footballing ability and I am delighted to get him on board”.
