Murray & Earl Join Chester

Chester FC have announced the signings of Iwan Murray from Runcorn Linnets and Lewis Earl from Stockport County.

Twenty-one-year-old attacking midfielder Murray returns to Chester for a second spell, having graduated from the Blues` academy back in 2018.

He made 10 starts at the Deva in his two seasons, scoring 3 goals.

He spent time on loan with NPL Premier Division sides Warrington Town and Atherton Collieries in 2019/20.

Earl (pictured), 20, is a defender who moved to Stockport in July 2021 and was immediately loaned to National League North side AFC Telford United for six months.

He joined the Hatters after leaving SkyBet Championship side Preston North End.

He is a right-footed defender who can play in the backline or as a defensive midfielder.

After a loan spell with NPL Premier Division side Hyde United, he made the move a more permanent one in March 2022.
