Fitzpatrick,
32, joins Boro from Vanarama National League North side Chester.
He
had joined the Blues in January 2022 from National League neighbours
Altrincham, where he had been since August 2021.
The
Stretford-born defender, who started out at New Mills and Northwich Victoria,
has enjoyed a distinguished career to date that brought him three England C
caps during his time at Southport, where he won the club's goal-of-the-season
award with a 30-yard special against FC Halifax Town.
An
FA Trophy finalist with Macclesfield Town in 2017, he played in every one of
their 46 league games the following season and earned himself a place in the
team of the year, as the Silkmen went up as champions to League Two.
He
also made over 20 appearances for Port Vale in League Two before joining Alty.
Eighteen-year-old
right back Rydel (pictured) had two loan spells at the Neuven Stadium last season from
SkyBet League Two side Salford City.
He
made 20 appearances for Boro in the last campaign and will now look to continue
his good form going into the 2022/23 season as a permanent member of the side.
The
Oldham-born player also had a 7-game loan spell with NPL Division One West side
City of Liverpool at the beginning of the 2021/22 campaign. |
