Two New Additions to Farsley Squad
Farsley Celtic have signed midfielder Bobby Johnson from Vanarama National League North rivals Alfreton Town and George Hornshaw from Gainsborough Trinity.

Twenty-eight-year-old Johnson (pictured) had joined the Reds from North Ferriby United in June 2018.

 

He came through the ranks at Retford United, featuring for their under-19s. A move to Frickley Atheltic soon followed before he moved to Goole FC in 2015.

 

A fruitful spell saw him net 8 times in the 2015/16 season and then 11 times in the 2016/17 campaign.

 

These performances saw Bobby claim Goole’s top scorer alongside the players` and supporters` player of the year awards.

 

He joined North Ferriby at the start of the 2017/18 season and made 28 league appearances for the Villagers, scoring once.

 

Hornshaw, 22, joined Trinity in July 2021 from then-League Two side Scunthorpe United.

 

Equally comfortable in midfield or at right back, he previously spent a short time on loan with Trinity on loan back in February 2019.

 

He also spent time on loan with Farsley in 2018/19.

 

He made a dozen first-team appearances for the Iron before being released at the end of the 2020/21 campaign.
