Leon
Creech, Oscar Radcliffe, Ryan Jennings, Craig Davies and Will Hall have all
joined Rammy.
The
signing of 23-year-old Creech, who played his football in the North West
Counties League Division One North for AFC Darwen last season, is seen a huge
capture for manager Lee Donafee.
The
forward brings plenty of ambition and youthfulness to the Rams.
Darwen’s
top scorer last season, he has also spent time at Lancaster City, Colne and
Preston North End.
Radcliffe
is a 20-year-old defender who joins the club from another NWCL Division One
North outfit, AFC Blackpool.
Radcliffe
is a local lad who started out in the academy at NPL Premier Division side
Bamber Bridge and another player the manager has been looking at for a while,
but he showed loyalty to Blackpool last term and wanted to wait till the season
had ended to join the club.
He
is a defender who likes to get forward whenever possible helping out the attack
which is imperative to the way Ramsbottom want to play moving forward.
Jennings,
26, is a player who joins with a wealth of experience and an excellent resume
having played for Wigan Athletic, Cheltenham Town and Grimsby Town, where he
won promotion to League Two.
The
winger spent last season with league rivals Widnes and is exactly to sort of
player Donafee wanted to bring in this summer.
Jennings (pictured) signed for Widnes in January 2022 from then-NPL Premier Division outfit Buxton,
where he had been since August 2019.
He
began his career with his home-town club Stockport County and joined Wigan in
2012.
He
went on loan at Accrington Stanley in March 2015 but failed to make an
appearance through injury.
He
made his debut in August 2015 in a Carling Cup defeat against Bury and three
months later joined then-Vanarama National League side Cheltenham Town on an
initial one-month loan deal.
In
February 2016, he joined Cheltenham`s rivals Grimsby on loan until the end of
the season and he was part of the team that eventually went on to beat Forest
Green Rovers 3–1 in the 2016 National League Promotion Final at Wembley, seeing
Grimsby promoted to League Two after a six-year absence from the Football
League.
In
September 2016 he joined National League North side AFC Fylde, but by December
he had joined league rivals Curzon Ashton.
In
the summer of 2017, he signed for Alfreton Town before switching to Nuneaton
Borough the following November and onto Ashton United in February 2019.
Attacker
Craig Davies joins the club from NWCL Premier Division side Barnoldswick Town.
The
33-year-old attacker includes the likes of Morecambe, Stalybridge Celtic,
Vauxhall Motors and Warrington Town amongst his former clubs.
Three
years ago, he became the manager of Prescot Cables but decided it wasn’t time
to hang his boots up just yet and therefore continued his playing career.
Finally,
this summer sees the return of fan favourite Will Hall.
The
20-year-old defender spent some time on loan at Rammy last season from National
League side Altrincham midway through last season.
Originally
with SkyBet League Two side Salford City, he has also spent time on loan in the
NWCL with Whitchurch Alport in 2020/21 and the NPL Premier Division at Ashton
United from November 2021 to the end of last season.
Manger
Lee Donafee told https://www.ramsbottomutd.com:
“I am delighted to get all the players in, and it’s given the club a massive
lift”.
