James (pictured),
who can play as a winger or striker, joins the Minstermen from SkyBet League
Two side Barrow AFC.
The
27-year-old enjoyed two spells in Cumbria.
He
joined the Bluebirds on loan for the 2017/18 season - scoring 7 goals in 7
games.
He
left to re-join Hartlepool United before returning to Barrow on a permanent
deal in 2020.
After
scoring 3 goals in 47 appearances in the 2020/21 campaign he failed to register
a goal in 22 appearances last season.
An
England C international, he started his career with Hartlepool, where he made
over 100 appearances in his first spell.
He
moved to Peterborough United in 2014 and added 32 games to his tally as well as
having loan spells with Bradford City, Bristol Rovers and back at Hartlepool.
A
move to Forest Green Rovers in the summer of 2017 followed, where he played 14
times as well as having a loan stint at Barrow.
He
transferred back to Hartlepool in July 2018 and was voted as player of the year
in his first season back.
Dutchman
Duku, 29, moves from National League South side Havant & Waterlooville.
He
had joined the Hawks in early February 2022 after leaving Inverness Caledonian
Thistle.
He
left the Scottish Championship outfit by mutual consent after a frustrating
seven months at ICT.
He
scored just twice in 2021/22 after they made him one of their first signings in
the summer of 2021 after his form of 10 goals in 28 appearances for
Championship rivals Raith Rovers caught his eye.
The
well-travelled player started out in Holland with Amstelland, Utrecht, Abcoude,
Legmeervogels, FC Breukelen and VV Eemdijk before coming to England with
Chesham United in September 2015.
Spells
with Hemel Hempstead Town, Kings Langley, Banbury United, Hayes & Yeading
United, Cheltenham Town, Barnet, Torquay United and Hayes & Yeading again
followed before he headed `north of the border` with Raith in August 2020. |
