The 32-year-old began his career at Wakefield before being signed by Huddersfield Town in 2008.

He then had a series of loan spells including a stint at Cheltenham Town, where he was given his Football League debut, and twice returning to Wakefield.

After a spell with Mossley AFC, he signed for Alfreton for the first time in 2012, but it was a short stay before going on to serve Worksop Town and North Ferriby United.

He won promotion from the National League North with FC Halifax Town and then played for a season at that level prior to starting his second spell at Alfreton in May 2017.

He signed for National League side Chesterfield in September 2018 for an undisclosed fee and made 78 appearances, scoring 23 goals.
