New Keeper for Gulls

Goalkeeper Rhys Lovett has joined Vanarama National League club Torquay United.

The 25-year-old joined then-National League South Billericay Town in December 2021 from National League side Maidenhead United.

He had spent seven years in SkyBet League Two Walsall's academy, where he had loan spells at Aston Villa and Coventry City, before joining Rochdale permanently in 2014.

He played a pre-season game for Gloucester City in July 2015 but joined Cheltenham Town in August 2015 ahead of their National League campaign.

Loan spells with Tiverton Town, Shepton Mallett and Shortwood United followed before he signed for Gloucester City in October 2020.

He moved to Maidenhead in March 2021.
