...brother Gareth for the upcoming season, after making an impact during pre-season.
Josh Peet originally joined Colls back in 2013 but was forced out of the game with injury. Since then he has been playing at Wigan Amateur League champions Winstanley St Aidens.
Manager Michael Clegg told http://athertoncollieries.co.uk: “Josh came in pre-season to get fit and basically to come down with his brother to put in some hard graft. Then it wasn’t really planned for him to get minutes but straight away he impressed us all in training with his passing range, which is up there with anyone I’ve seen at this level. Then the realisation set in that he was probably going to go back to where he has been playing and that’s where we stepped in and offered him something.
“I think all the lads would have been sad to see Josh go as he has already become a favourite in the dressing room. So, I think he could be a real asset for the squad this year”.
