The 37-year-old made over 100 appearances for the Owls between 2015 and 2019.

Pudil was a popular member of the Owls squad with his teammates and fans. He was utilised at left-back and centre-back and was a consistent performer during his time in Yorkshire during a period when Wednesday regularly pushed for promotion.

The Czech Republic international’s career spanned almost two decades, starting out with FK Chmel Blšany in his native homeland after leaving Sparta Prague’s youth academy.

It was at Belgian side Genk where he made his name, making 141 appearances before going on to spells with Spanish side Granada and Cesena in Italy.

He joins Hallam having left Czech side Viktoria Žižkov.

Pudil also has 35 caps for the Czech Republic, representing them at the European Championships in 2016, and even played in the Champions League against the likes of Chelsea, Bayer Leverkusen and Valencia.
