On the opening day of the Uhlsport Hellenic League Premier Division, Ardley United were beaten by visitors Binfield.

They were three ahead through Jeff Brown and an Ian Davis pair before the interval.

 

Billy Gillett got one back before Carlo Santoro restored the lead.

 

Bishops Cleeve, relegated from the Southern League, were held at home in a six-goal thriller by Ascot United.

 

Nathan Minha struck twice for the visitors. The home side then took the lead through Brad Martin, Ieuan Crowe and Elliot Kennedy.

 

A late goal from Callum Carlisle saw the visitors share the points.

 

Daniel Roberts opened the scoring for Windsor FC at Brimscombe & Thrupp only for Sam Blackie to score twice with Ash Caldwell adding a third to seal victory.

 

Ten-man Fairford Town went two ahead through Josh Thomas.

 

Visitors Wantage Town scored three times in the last 20 minutes to take the points.

 

Chris Jackson plus a brace from Steve Robertson got the goals..

 

Holmer Green’s debut in the Hellenic ended with victory over visitors Abingdon United.

 

Second half goals from Curtis Stone and Jaimie West won the day.

 

At Longlevens all four goals came after the break.

 

Dave Rich and Isaac Johns put the home side ahead before Flackwell Heath levelled with late goals from Harry Ritchie and Dean Allen.

 

A TJ Bohane hat-trick and two from Bradley Pagliaroli, after Steve Yeardley had opened, saw Royal Wootton Bassett Town put pay to visitors Tuffley Rovers, whose only reply came from Ryan Dobbins

 

New side Reading City – formerly Highmoor-Ibis - took all three points at Shrivenham.

 

Mitch Parker got three with Jack Powell and Matt Hancock adding to the scoresheet. Nathan Blackford was on target for the hosts.

 

The match at Brackley Town Saints was postponed as the Lydney Town transport broke down and became gridlocked in traffic.
