The
18-year-old arrives at Croft Park on an initial three-month loan deal, which
Blyth has the option to extend.
After
being recruited by Carlisle from Wallsend Boys Club, Fishburn scored 23 goals
in his first season at academy level, which resulted in him earning a two-year
contract in the summer of 2021.
He
was subsequently loaned to the Pitching In Northern Premier League Premier
Division, where he scored an impressive 8 goals in 9 games at Lancaster City
before being recalled.
Upon
his return he made his first team debut for Carlisle against Everton under-21s
in the EFL Trophy.
Fishburn
went on to make his League Two debut, coming off the bench in his sides 2-2
away draw to Newport County, and made a further 15 appearances last season.
Blyth
boss Terry Mitchell told http://www.blythspartans.com: “He’s a
centre-forward, he’s a big lad and he’ll get a hold of the ball at the top line
and hopefully get a lot of goals.
“He
did well at Lancaster City last year and has experience in the first team at
Carlisle and that show’s he’s been progressing well. Hopefully he kicks on
again and it’ll be a win-win, if he performs well, he’ll get back in the team
at Carlisle and in turn that’ll help us out”. |
