Vanarama National League North club Gloucester City have announced the signing of Owen Evans on a one-year deal.

The left-back or left-sided midfielder spent several years with SkyBet Championship side Swansea City, graduating from their academy and featuring for their under-18 and under-21 squads.

 

A spell with League Two side Salford City followed before a switch to Pitching In Southern League Premier Division South outfit Merthyr Town in the summer of 2021, where the 21-year-old played regularly last season.

 

Evans has been on trial at City in recent weeks, featuring in two pre-season friendlies.
