The vastly experienced 35-year-old striker was in demand after leaving Bedford Town, who he had helped to win promotion to the Premier Division Central last season.

Howe had re-joined the Eagles in July 2020 from Farnborough, where he had been since February 2020.

The much-travelled attacker had signed for the sadly now defunct Walton Casuals in early September 2019 from Kings Langley before he switched to league rivals Farnborough.

He had signed for Kings in August 2018 after just over a month with rivals Hendon.

He had joined the Greens from Kettering Town, where he made 168 appearances scoring 63 goals in two spells.

He began his career at Bedford and has also played for Peterborough United, Burton Albion, Newport County, Torquay United, Bristol Rovers and Newport County.

He made almost 250 League appearances in his career.
