There were nine debutants
in Town`s side, including new loanees Jordan Perrin, Szymon Czubik and Adam
Etches, and only Kiarno Samms and Matt Hanson remained from last season’s
squad.
Young goalkeeper
Jordan Perrin joined Town on loan from SkyBet Championship side Wigan Athletic.
Perrin, 18, who
penned his first professional deal with the Latics in the summer, joins on an
initial one-month loan deal
Etches and Czubik
arrive from Vanarama National League North neighbours Stockport County on
similar terms.
Nineteen-year-old Etches
made his breakthrough into the Hatters first-team having stormed through the academy
route under the guidance of Alan Lord.
His debut came in an
end-of-season draw with Curzon Ashton in front of nearly 4,000 fans at Edgeley Park.
He is an attacking
midfielder who can play on either flank or in the number 10 role just behind a
central striker.
He signed a new deal
until May 2019.
Teenage striker
Czubik has signed his first professional contract with County six months ago.
The academy hitman
penned a deal until the end this season.
He hit the headlines
last season for his goalscoring exploits, having scored 23 goals in 13
consecutive fixtures. |
