He joins the Spireites after leaving SkyBet League Two side Barrow AFC at the end of the 2021/22 season.

He started his career with Tranmere Rovers, signing his first professional contract at Prenton Park in 2006.

He spent two years with Rovers and had a loan spell with Shrewsbury Town before making the move to then-League Two outfit Bury.

The midfielder played over 150 times in his four years at Gigg Lane, scoring 23 goals as well and helping the club to promotion to League One in 2011.

He continued to play in the Football League, gaining experience with the likes of Sheffield Wednesday, Crawley Town, Oldham Athletic and Carlisle United.

He joined Barrow in July 2020 and struggled to play regular first-team football due to bad luck with injuries, totalling 16 games and 2 goals.
