The 20-year-old, who has fought back from two serious injuries over the last 18 months, has featured for Albion's first team in pre-season, including a goalless draw against the Nailers at Christchurch Meadow.

Hewlett is an academy graduate who made his senior bow in a Papa John’s Trophy game at Peterborough United in September 2020, having been one of four Burton academy graduates to earn professional contracts in the summer of 2020.

Injury curtailed his 2020/21 season after having a loan spell with Southern League Premier Division Central side Rushall Olympic, but he had another stint in the same division towards the end of last season with Redditch United.
