Defender
Harry Knights (pictured) joins the Marketmen from former league rivals, now Isthmian North
Division outfit, Lowestoft Town.
The
23-year-old had joined the Trawlerboys in May 2021 from neighbours Leiston.
He
had come through the Blues` youth side and made his first team debut in October
2017 and nailed down a regular spot in the squad.
He
spent time out on loan with Isthmian North side Felixstowe & Walton United
in 2019/20 and was also part of the England Universities squad.
Another
new defender is Christian Frimpong.
The
23-year-old arrives from Vanarama National League South side Chelmsford City.
He
had joined the Clarets in December 2021 from Isthmian North side AFC Sudbury,
where he had been since August 2021 after joining from Isthmian Premier outfit
Lewes.
He
had joined the Rooks in February 2020 from National League South side Braintree
Town.
He
started his career with local side Hullavington FC and then joined Chippenham
Town`s youth team in 2010.
In
2012 he was scouted by the Pro Academy in Bristol and joined Bristol City`s
academy and then moved on to Reading's academy.
He
had interest from a number of teams including Southampton, Liverpool, Leicester
City, Norwich City, Birmingham City, Watford and Scunthorpe United but in the
end he signed a two-year scholarship with Swindon Town in July 2015.
He
moved to Braintree in the summer of 2017.
And
a third defensive recruit is youngster Ross Crane.
The
20-year-old joins the Marketmen after being released by League One neighbours Ipswich
Town.
He
had signed for the Tractor Boys in July 2020 from Isthmian North side Bury
Town, where he had been since August 2019.
He
joined the Blues from league rivals AFC Sudbury after being part of the Yellows
academy set up and playing for the first team in the final 14 games of the
2018/19 season.
He
was previously with Colchester United’s academy before joining Sudbury. |
