The
former Biggleswade Town boss, who took over at Hillgrounds in May, has brought
back one or two former favourites, whilst adding several new faces.
Defenders
Seb Simpson, Dean Dummett and Kyle Lincoln all return to the Walnut Boys.
Simpson
is a full-back who re-joins from Northern Premier League Division One Midlands
side Cambridge City.
He
had moved to City in November 2018 from the Walnut Boys and his previous clubs
were Bedford Town and Cranfield United.
Dummett
is a 31-year-old defender who made his debut for Bedford Town in September 2017
and played 23 times that season.
Previously
with Ampthill Town, Bedford FC and Crawley Green, he first moved to Kempston in
March 2019.
He
switched to another Southern Division One Central rival, Barton Rovers, in July
2019, then to Southern Premier Division Central outfit AFC Rushden &
Diamonds in August 2021 and back to Barton Rovers in October 2021.
Lincoln,
33, is a much-travelled left-back who returns to Hillgrounds from Spartan South
Midlands League Premier Division side Aylesbury Vale Dynamos.
He
had joined Dynamos late in 2021/22 from Kempston, who he originally signed for
in November 2021 from Southern Premier Division South side Kings Langley, who
he joined in August 2021.
He
had signed for Stratford Town from Southern Premier Central rivals Bromsgrove
Sporting in September 2019 and then re-joined Southern Division One Central
outfit Berkhamsted in March 2020 before joining Southern Premier Central St
Ives Town in July 2020.
He
had signed for the Rouslers in February 2019 from Dunstable Town, who suffered
relegation to the Spartan South Midlands League at the end of the 2018/19
season.
He
also numbers Biggleswade United, Leighton Town, AFC Dunstable, Hitchin Town,
Barton Rovers, Berkhamsted, Bedford Town and Crawley Green amongst his other
former clubs.
Striker
James Hatch joins Kempston from United Counties League Premier Division South
side Eynesbury Rovers.
Another
very experienced player, he joined Rovers in 2019 from Spartan South Midlands
League side Arlesey Town.
He
had two spells with Arlesey, sandwiched by time at Leighton Town, for whom he
notched 24 goals in 38 games in 2017/18.
He
had a couple of other stints with Leighton as well as serving Dunstable Town, Barton
Rovers, Hemel Hempstead Town and Bedford Town.
Nunn
has a new young goalkeeper to challenge the experienced Carl Knox for the
number one jersey in George Rose (pictured).
The
20-year-old came through the academy at League One MK Dons.
Whilst
at Stadium MK he had loan spells with Spartan South Midlands League side
Crawley Green and Isthmian League North Division outfit Hullbridge Sports.
Following
his release by the Dons in 2020, he returned to Crawley Green and also
registered with Vanarama National League South side Slough Town.
A
former team-mate of Rose at MK Dons, Harry Riley, has also joined the Walnut
Boys.
The
19-year-old defender also came through the Dons` academy and spent time on loan
with Kempston’s league rivals Hertford Town last season.
Another
19-year-old, midfielder Ben Stevens, arrives at Hillgrounds following his
release by Championship side Luton Town.
He
came through the Hatters` academy and was a regular in their under-18 side.
He
is also well-known to manager Chris Nunn, who had him on loan at Biggleswade
Town from October 2021 until January 2022.
Wide
midfielder Magloire or MJ Muyembe has also joined the club after being with
now-United Counties League Premier Division South side Histon since December
2021.
The
21-year-old is another who was with Nunn at Biggleswade Town and has also been
on the books at Ampthill Town, Cockfosters, AFC Rushden & Diamonds and Hemel
Hempstead Town.
